Kyrgyzstan Travel
Kyrgyzstan, formally the Kyrgyz Republic, is a Central Asian country of incredible natural beauty and proud nomadic traditions. Landlocked and mountainous, it borders Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the southeast. Annexed by Russia in 1876, it achieved independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. It has one of the most liberal tourist visa policies of the Central Asian countries.

Shofar Tours can make your internal travel arrangements in Kyrgyzstan
“Shofar Tours takes you to the heart of Kyrgyzstan. We offer full service tours, from arrival into Kyrgyzstan through to departure as well as customised trekking services and cultural tourism, centred on the Naryn region of north-east Kyrgyzstan. We know the Naryn region because, unlike most other tour operators, we live in the Naryn region. We work with the local community-based tourism and “Shepherd’s Life” organizations. Where no established services exist we work directly with local people to set them up. As with the other projects of Shofar Group, we are committed to paying a fair wage to all of our employees and contractors. By working directly with local people, the share of money that goes directly to the local community in this beautiful but needy region is maximised”. Shofar Tours
