Air Southwest was established in May 2003 when British Airways decided to pull out of Plymouth. They started operations in October 2003.
Air Southwest Limited is based at Plymouth City airport with hubs in Bristol and Newquay. The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Plymouth-based regeneration and transport group Sutton Harbour Holdings Plc, which also owns and operates Plymouth City Airport.
It now covers the following airports:- Bristol, Cork, Dublin, Glasgow, Grenoble (seasonal), Guernsey, Jersey, Leeds/Bradford, London City Airport, London Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle, Newquay and Plymouth.
